CRVA Partner James City County Computers for Kids Program Awarded the NACo 2007 Achievement Award

02/16/2007 - CRVA's partner, James City County, Computers for Kids program was awarded the NACo (National Association of Counties) 2007 Achievement award.

Ninety-seven counties from 27 states participated in NACo's 2007 Achievement Award Program. The program recognizes innovative county government programs and was created in 1970 as a part of NACo's New County, USA campaign. The New County, USA campaign was designed to modernize and streamline county government and to increase its services to its citizens, goals that are still the main emphasis of the Achievement Award Program today.

CRVA donates the computers to the Computers for Kids Program so that once the children involved with the program reach certain milestones within the Computers for Kids Program, they can receive a computer of their own to take home.
